A Deliverable is a meaningful output produced by a Project. A Task is an executable unit of work and may reference a Deliverable when it creates or revises that output.
Why the distinction matters
“Design launch page” may be a Task. The reviewable launch-page design is a Deliverable. Several Tasks—research, writing, design, accessibility review, and client revisions—can contribute to the same output.
Approval applies to a specific Deliverable Revision, not to a mutable Deliverable in the abstract. This preserves exactly what was reviewed and prevents later edits from silently inheriting an earlier approval.
Project administration can also be real work without creating a Deliverable. Kernel does not force every executable Task into an artifact model.
